If you buy, do it alone, I did that when I was 24 and never regretted it for a minute. Whether it has to be 3 or 4 rooms depends on the money. I bought 2.5 rooms with a garden back then and sold it with a significant profit.

But I also never expected a girlfriend to contribute anything, yes there were several over the 10 years, because people change and so does the partner.

Personal life experience, you don’t have to like it. At 21, still in training, you don’t really have to make such a high investment. How long have they been together? 8 years? Such a capital-intensive investment can also be approached slowly. We also don’t know if, for example, the rent is cheap.

Reflect on yourselves for a moment: How often did you change partners when you were under 30 and how often over 30? That's just the nature of things. Besides, those who get divorced after many years of marriage are often the ones who, in their younger years, usually only had one partner.

The rent is 500 euros cold. However, we don't really see the point in paying rent forever when we could own something ourselves.

We have been together for 3 years and have lived together for one year. We get along great, of course there are occasional minor disagreements but that's part of it.

I understand that each of you has a different suggestion. We read everything carefully and let your opinions affect us.

Don’t be discouraged by the opinions that you are not old enough or haven’t been together long enough. You have to decide that for yourselves. My husband and I bought our house when I was 25. At that time, we were just moving in together and hadn’t even been a couple for a year.
I can understand that you see rent as money thrown out the window. However, 500€ is really not much. Just have a look around to see what is available in your area. Maybe that will help you decide what size you want or how much you want to "spend"? We hadn’t planned to buy, but the offer was so good that we couldn’t say no.
