I have a Suedesign front door with a Fuhr motor lock and a Fuhr fingerprint scanner. Also remote controls, which came with the lock. The fingerprint scanner is located in the door, as is the control unit. It works very reliably, even with my damaged hands. My husband is let in by the door less often, but he also has very damaged hands with scars, calluses, and thick hard skin – from work. Therefore, he uses the remote control.

hm no idea how much a "normal" lock costs?. The motor lock (multitronic 881) from Fuhr costs, I think, around 1500 euros plus fingerprint scanner, the complete technology package was included for 2000 euros.

After the door station arrived a few days ago and the matching POE switch was delivered today, I have now put the device into test operation.

I am impressed. :)
Great workmanship, quick to set up.
The device now runs as a SIP client via the Fritzbox, and when the doorbell is pressed, all Fritzphones ring, each also displaying a still image from the door camera.

By pressing a button, the door opener can be activated. However, I have not been able to test this yet, nor the Ekey reader.
