Danwood? Take a look at their prices. Ok, but it's from the top edge of the floor slab, or cellar ceiling. But still incredibly cheap.

Danwood Point_200 costs €222,700 with 200sqm

In principle, you are quite well positioned, the land and construction costs are just currently beyond reasonable. Does it necessarily have to be a new build? Old buildings also have their advantages, often a good location, a bit more land, etc. Of course, you have to renovate there, but overall it is simply a bit more predictable than a new build. I was faced with a similar situation and ultimately decided against the new build, it would have been too tightly stretched. With us, the plots are even significantly more expensive...

If you live in such a high-priced region, offers from nationwide prefabricated house providers might be worthwhile. A frequently cited example is Danwood.

Thank you very much. Sure, buying an existing property is always an option – if something comes up. I’m free in that regard.

I also have Danwood in mind – we have acquaintances who built with them and are very satisfied.

And yes, prices are really crazy right now. I can’t believe everyone has to finance 400k! I think almost 200k equity is not little at all, actually quite good.

Danwood is definitely an option. I know some people who have built with them and are very satisfied.

But please assess realistically here as well. Look at the construction service description and consider what you are satisfied with. If you like Danwood's standard, please go ahead. But be aware that most people still spend quite a bit on the customization. And even then, please calculate everything. For someone who is not familiar, the prices sound very attractive because the extras are simply not included.

And yet, those who build gladly finance on that scale... that's just how it is.
