Buy! As of now, you have the money for it. And yes, a dream house can make you very happy, We also built our dream house... it could certainly have been smaller and cheaper. but if I regularly get annoyed by the mistakes, it doesn't help either. Cleaning with and without children: From my own experience ... children make keeping things clean an endless task. When I bend down, it's 90% of the time because I pick up a toy, a diaper, children's clothes, or food leftovers. What haven't I wiped up because my daughter found the baby oil and decided the floor needed a good splash. But the bigger the house, the more the chaos spreads. Oh, and whether you have a big or small house, you always uproot the children from their environment. They usually handle it surprisingly well if you make it as harmonious as possible for them. That’s what family is for... some are in, some are caught up. You gave them a few good years in a great house, they comfort you when it then has to go into a small place because Dad is having a tough time. But with your budget, you can absorb that for quite a while.

oh sorry.... I didn’t tell you the end of the story and that is bad style - sorry.

I didn’t buy it. I lacked the "eggs" :) The house was then sold to someone else 10 days later and it feels like only crap has come onto the market here in the region since then. I still somewhat mourn the missed opportunity, but maybe I needed this experience.

Time will come, [kommt Haus]...

Sometimes you have to turn down a good offer to later find out whether you regret it. Only in this way do you discover what you really want. And then you can make better decisions with the next good offer.

For example, I searched for both existing properties and plots for new construction. With houses that I canceled or pursued seriously too late, I never really regretted it afterward. However, with a certain type and location of plots, there was great annoyance and regret for not having followed through. In the end, it turned out to be exactly that kind of plot :-)

And good offers will definitely come again; you just have to be a bit patient.
