In my opinion, the cleaning effort for 150m2 or 200m2 or more is the same. I don’t have more furniture just because I have more space. So it doesn’t make a difference. As already mentioned, cleaning the floor is even easier because I have more room. I have to clean the bathroom and kitchen in both houses. Cleaning windows also depends on how many there are, how easy they are, and how often I do it. And if I specifically hire someone for that, it has nothing to do with whether I can manage my household on my own.

I know it differently. The space that is there gets used. The longer I live somewhere, the fuller it gets.

From my point of view, the main sticking point is:
How do I deal with my "dreams"?

On the one hand, I would always advise fulfilling your wishes as far as possible, but on the other hand, there is always more to wish for.
If you’re not careful, it just goes on and on (that’s why the state of the world is the way it is right now).
Life can be very beautiful ... and if you get what you wish for, that can be a foundation for happiness.
But truly being happy does not depend on the house – on the contrary: as long as you believe that, you will never really be "fulfilled" ... the inner radiance is a matter of inner freedom ... that’s what I think.

I would buy the property if I were you, if it is your dream house.

Don't listen to the people who say there is too much work with cleaning, etc. I once took my parents to a second viewing of a modern and high-priced single-family house (>1Mio) because they own several properties and I thought another opinion wouldn't hurt. But all they said was things like: "Who’s supposed to clean all the windows? What was the architect thinking? What’s with the concrete? (Exposed concrete ceilings)" Today, I wouldn’t ask them for their opinion anymore. It’s similar here in the forum. Of course, some people here have a tight budget and want to know if this or that is feasible. In those cases, one might advise against or agree. But when it comes to house size, design, and features, don’t let anyone talk you out of it if it suits you.

the title of the thread is Relatively expensive dream house - would you dare? Should everyone just be quiet now? The original poster obviously can’t decide for themselves, otherwise they wouldn’t have ended up here. It’s like some women who ask 10 friends whether they should wear the green one or rather the blue one.

He’s concerned about the finances and not about cleaning issues mentioned later in the thread.

Right. And if it fits financially, then buy. In the end, you are more likely to regret missed opportunities or the things you didn't do than the other way around.
