Better not many things, but everything. Do not "refine" anything that was unsuccessful. Make a concept before the plan. Otherwise, the egg-laying wool-milk sow will again only turn into a wolpertinger. The dough for a meatloaf turns out better if you leave the pickles and raisins out.

No, you obviously confuse EAST with WEST!? :)
As YPG already wrote, the utility room is according to the plan in the west and the living room in the north :( ....

A north arrow points north ...

Here, the cardinal directions are shown on the floor plan. The west side (evening sun) is occupied by the carport and utility room.

If the carport doesn't have to be right next to the house, I would possibly even place it on the southern boundary. At noon (south), the sun is so high that the carport would hardly cause any shading.

Maybe something like this direction for the house layout (now without a carport on the south side, it gets too tight there). And then, of course, the utility room upstairs in the corner.

Thanks again for all your previous answers.

After many new attempts, I have now arrived at the following new idea.
The external dimensions are now 10.10m x 10.10m.

The street is shown in gray.
The carport and terrace are not yet exact in size, but only meant to show where they should go initially.
Regarding the hallway: the space under the stairs should also be used.
The windows are partly shown with opening representation, partly without, please don’t be confused by that. The windows still need to be aligned a bit more precisely and symmetrically, but I have the feeling it is going in the right direction.

I now come to 174 m² floor area, the net living area after subtracting the stairs and correct wall thicknesses etc. will probably be somewhat less.

What do you think about:
- Room layout/distribution/size?
- Orientation with regard to the cardinal directions?

Also, I am grateful for any advice regarding windows (size, arrangement, shape, symmetry, etc...)

(A proper roof is still to be added to the house, but the software cannot do that)

I keep thinking while looking at the ground floor: the staircase does NOT belong THERE. What are these extra corridors for? You do that only when you have to do a backflip and dozens of pirouettes because of a crappy plot. I would swap the office and kitchen anyway, or rather put the living room where the office is and the office where the kitchen is. Then I see the upper floor and the dilemma with the terraced house children's rooms. That really shouldn't be necessary. That shows: the staircase is placed arbitrarily.
