The building permit was not the problem for us either. You only get the important "construction site sign" once the notice has been paid. At least, that's what the construction company told us. Because they were eager to start... ;) For us, the permit amounted to 1358.00 euros.

Our construction site sign is still unused in the folder :)))). It was also included with the notification, but I didn't take it seriously until my son told me I had to attach it to the fence. By then, the construction was already finished.

For us, there was no separate construction approval. Upon receipt of the notice, we were allowed to start building. The building authority only needed to have some documents on file.
