We built new, about 2 1/2 years ago the heat pump "Novelan Paket LADV 9-HSDV 12" was installed. We moved in 2 years ago. Everything is fine. The heating worked great – until last week. Suddenly, hissing and bubbling noises came from the utility room. Of course, it was Saturday. The emergency service of the installation company was there after 1 hour. "No problem, there is too much air in the system, we’ll just get that out." The "just" did not work. Since it was Saturday, the employee drained some water (pressure was then at 2 bar) and said the noises were not a big deal. He would come back on Monday, drain all the water and then refill it. Okay... After 1 1/2 hours, the noises had increased, the pressure was at 3.5 bar, and the safety valve had opened. Water was leaking out. We called the emergency service again. He then completely shut off the system, let a nitrogen mixture? flow out of the expansion vessel and said that the expansion vessel was broken. He said he would order it and then reinstall it... On Monday the boss of the company came first, refilled nitrogen with a pump and gave the diagnosis that the expansion vessel was not broken. He then tried to restart the system with the result that the heat pump outside would no longer start. Various error messages appeared. On Tuesday he then sent his most capable employee, who also tried a few things with the result that he could not help and transferred the case to the manufacturer’s company, whose callback we have been waiting for since Tuesday.
He secured the hot water supply by heating via the heating element, which is not exactly cheap. We consume about 25 kWh of electricity daily for the household including hot water (temperature reduced from 48 to 40 degrees), with at most one person showering daily and not much cooking or baking. Calculated for the month that would be about €240 for electricity without heating the rooms. Thanks to our wood stove we can manage. The upper apartment only gets half warm because the chimney runs through there.
When building the house we initially had an offer for the entire package (heating, electrical, plumbing, photovoltaic system). The construction took a long time (Corona), and partial payments were made continuously. The final invoice is dated 10.03.2022. Therefore, I assume that we are still within the warranty period.
Now I read everywhere that a heat pump must be maintained once a year. Nobody told us that. Wouldn’t it have been the installation company’s task to inform us about that? They would surely have also performed the maintenance. When the heating was installed, the installation company told us that someone from the company Novelan would come to give us a professional introduction. That never happened either.
The error messages alternate:
"Error 702 low-pressure lockout 702 since .... RESET automatically"
"Compressor heats up since ... at 50 C"
"Heat pump enters switching play lockout in .... min"
But the heat pump does not start. Then the message appears:
"Heat pump stopped since .... No demand"
And then it starts all over again with "Error 702 ...."
It’s been going on like this for days.
Does anyone have an idea what all this could be and what might still be coming? Tomorrow I will push the company again.
