Hello, after I planned my dream cabinet with 4x75 cm carcass in white with an interior design perfect for me, I searched for suitable doors. I searched and searched and searched and eventually thought that it must be a mistake that no suitable 3m sliding doors are offered on the Ikea site. So there are tons of 3m doors, but not for 4x 75 cm. So off to the Ikea store. Unfortunately, they could only tell me there that the combination I want does not exist. It is probably because of the rails. The 3m sliding doors only come with rails that can be combined with carcasses of 1m and 50 cm. Strangely, I can combine 4 sliding doors with a 4x 75 cm carcass – so there must be suitable rails. They just happen to be in the wrong door package. 4 doors are not an option for me. That would just be one constant shuffling... Now my questions: 1. Does anyone see a way to attach the sliding doors to my 4x 75 cm variant? I still really can’t believe that Ikea doesn’t want the 600 €. And Ikea is usually so flexible. 2. An alternative is a creative sliding curtain or drape solution. Does anyone have experience with that? Many thanks already for your answers Andrea

The main problem, or actually the only one, is the lower guide rail of the sliding doors. For the three-meter doors, it is always cut out at 50 cm because for such a wardrobe, a combination of 100 cm and 50 cm elements is actually planned.

To work with the 75 cm ones, you have to cut the rail at the bottom. Unfortunately, you understandably lose the warranty because of this, but that is the only option.

Is there a reason why only 100 and 50 elements should be used for a 3m wardrobe? 75 elements are much better to divide. Basically, there must be other rails. I can use the 75 elements if I use 150 sliding doors... isn't it possible to get these rails individually somehow? I think IKEA should also offer the option to connect 300 doors with 75 elements. The doors are simply too expensive for me to forgo the warranty. The alternative would then only be with 100 and 50 elements or 4 sliding doors, and I don't want either. So curtains after all!? Or no new wardrobe.
