Here is the fact that a mistake was made by the studio, namely in the measurement. As a rule, the person measuring has the planning documents at hand during the measurement to be able to identify discrepancies and, if necessary, discuss them with the customer on site. In addition, an installation plan is created. At the latest then, the planner should have noticed that cabinets cannot be placed like that. So this is clearly a planning error that must not be accepted as is. If the customer accepts it, fine; if not, it is at the expense of the studio. If in this case the cabinets had to be moved forward, it would mean that the tall cabinets in the kitchen would also have to be moved forward. This in turn means that the sides of the tall cabinets would have to be covered with panels (basically boxed in), which would be an enormous effort, including financially, for the studio. In my opinion, indeed, exchanging the 60 cm and 30 cm base cabinets for a 90 cm pull-out cabinet would be an alternative acceptable to both sides. Then it would be consistent in itself again. And yet , delivering a plan with different grid dimensions is a flaw, a no-go for any kitchen consultant.

So, now we have reached an agreement with the kitchen studio.

Firstly, we will receive completely new kitchen and cover panels as a goodwill gesture. Apparently not a cheap undertaking, since an oversized countertop panel is also affected. According to the manufacturer, it’s our bad luck, even though the sample differs significantly from the final panel. The end of the story on this point: The kitchen studio will dispose of the sample since it is actually not representative.

Secondly, the front design of the 30 cm cabinet will be adjusted to match the rest. We can live well with that. :)

Alternatively, we could have left the panel as it is, but received the 90 cm cabinet and additional kitchen appliances instead; however, we have now opted for the other variant.

Above all, I am glad that we were able to come to an agreement fairly uncomplicated. The new panel will be selected on Saturday.

Best regards and thanks for your help!!

I would then be interested in the final result and honestly, I would have tried to get a 90s US plus the rest. But if you are that satisfied, fine.
