Hello, the company Nibler is installing the telephone connection to the house on behalf of Telekom.

Our idea was to lay a conduit or the telephone cable in a conduit right away, so that if fiber optic is ever installed in the street, it could be extended straight into the house.

Now we are probably the first people on the planet to want it that way, and the company doesn’t just do that off the cuff. We would have to buy the conduit ourselves.

Does anyone have experience with this?

So for us, a conduit was laid directly for this purpose in October. Just ask around.

Yes.

Telekom was not a problem, the cable went through the multi-utility entry into the house to the utility room and from there further into the distribution.

It is state of the art that in the year 2016 a telephone in a house, no matter how cheap, is properly installed.

The cable provider initially quoted exorbitant prices, then completely withdrew.

Of course, fiber optics will eventually come.

I had a basic cabling installed in the house at my own expense as a precaution.

That costs ridiculously little, relative to the price of the house.

My advice would be: invest the few euros, have the empty conduits installed at your own expense. The debates with your house builder cost more nerves than the little money is worth.....

Best regards
Thorsten

I think he meant the way into the house.

Exactly, fibre to the Home.

What does such an empty conduit have to look like? How do I connect it to the [Mehrsparteneinführung]? How must it be placed at the street so that it can be found if needed?

We are going through the same thing. The house connection through the wall would be done by Telekom. Everything else must be prepared on the construction side - e.g. empty conduit through the floor slab. Connection to the street is also done by Telekom. The path in between must be leveled by us. Whether empty conduit or shaft does not matter to Telekom. If empty conduit, probably 50mm.
