Elevator in single-family house - Is fear of too loud air draft justified?

We are planning an elevator in our new single-family house. However, in my work I have repeatedly experienced that strong wind causes drafts through the elevator shaft. This naturally creates a kind of whistling. Now I am of course worried that it will also whistle in our future house. Is this concern justified? Can anyone say something about this? Thanks!

The single-family house is built airtight and must pass a blower door test. Therefore, it is - even with common sense - not possible for there to be drafts throughout the house. Neither through the elevator shaft, nor the stairwell, nor anywhere else. You don’t get an engine room built on the roof, as was often the case in the past with multi-family houses, etc.

thank you for your answer! The theory of the airtight house is clear to me, but in practice windows are often opened anyway. And that is exactly what my question was targeting, whether someone here can share experiences.

First of all, have fun with the elevator builders. You must comply with all requirements as in the public/commercial sector. That can be a bit tiring sometimes… Since a single-family house usually does not have many floors, elevators are usually somewhat smaller and travel slower than in a high-rise building, there are no problems. You might at most feel a minimal draft directly in front of the doors. Noise from this is not noticeable. You only hear the motor and the rollers. Additionally, the elevator in the single-family house also runs quite rarely.

Thank you very much for your information!!! May I ask a few more questions? Would you recommend separate doors in front of the elevator sliding doors as well? On the one hand to counteract possible drafts and on the other hand for aesthetic reasons?
