With us, all connections were previously laid in the floor/screed. The exhaust pipe into the floor slab. The water/sewage connection and the appropriate electrical lines for [Induktionsherd] and [Geschirrspüler] separately. These were then screwed to the island later. Likewise the water connection.

: So you have a cooker hood with exhaust air going into the basement or what is the purpose of the basement pipe for the cooker hood? We had actually also considered exhaust air instead of recirculation but because of controlled residential ventilation and the chimney, it is difficult...

That’s exactly where we stood. Controlled residential ventilation + chimney (with fresh air through the basement via the floor slab) + extractor hood (exhaust air through the basement in the floor slab and out beside the house again) + differential pressure monitor + window contact switch. What does your chimney sweep require? The fact is: we have not yet put the chimney into operation, but we are prepared for all eventualities in the future. It will then still need a few J(YSt)I cables (or whatever they are called) to logically wire everything in the appropriate place. Everything is possible, many just say “do recirculation and you’re on the safe side.”

The differential pressure switch checks the outside/inside pressure and if there is negative pressure, it switches off the controlled residential ventilation. A temperature sensor is installed at the chimney to check whether the chimney is even on. Alternatively, the window could be tilted open first if a pressure difference occurs and the controlled residential ventilation remains on. But as mentioned, everything is pre-installed with us but not live because the chimney is (still) offline.
