An electrician on site made the following statement: "Equipment is Spartan" but the price is okay. He couldn't do it any cheaper.

Therefore, I think we either do it ourselves or contract it out to a company.

The price is outrageous. For my renovation (everything newly installed including chases) I paid about 13k€.

With over 80 sockets, sub-distribution in the upper floor, 7x network, 6x satellite, junction points, staircase lighting, etc.

For new construction a lousy basic equipment for 18.. NO

It's outrageous that there are people who think this is too expensive but then spend 20k on the bathroom, 40k on heating, and 10k on flooring.

But the electrical work always has to be cheap.

I find 14k to 18k reasonable for this service, especially since none of us knows how the installation will be carried out or what components will be installed. We also don't know whether conduit installation or something else will be used.

Oh yes, fire safety switches for every circuit and good smoke detectors also cost a lot. Fire safety switches 100 euros and a good smoke detector also more than 80 euros.

I didn’t achieve anything price-wise. And for the electrical work, I took the local electrician and not the cheapest one.

1 antenna connection, 50 sockets, no network is an absolute minimal setup, which except for the smoke detectors belongs in the 90s.

And to demand nearly 20k€ for that is absurd. The surcharges will push that to at least 22k€. For a standard electrical installation, with material costs of maybe 4000€. At least as long as no golden sockets are used.

We also had an offer from the general contractor for that amount. However, with better equipment. And even that seemed way too expensive to me. But as already mentioned, due to the lack of an installation level, own work might be critical concerning warranty.

For 170m² we are at about 20k€, however with network, very generous socket planning, photovoltaic preparation, preparation for electric car charging station in the garage, intercom system, underground cables for garden lighting/power supply, and 3 high-voltage sockets in the garage, workshop, and garden. I find the price reasonable for the service.
