That sounds like a workers' apartment to me, arriving in the evening, showering, quickly heating only a few rooms and leaving early again. The simplest solution is to heat the entire apartment to 20 degrees (costs everyone an extra 10). Towels dry, nothing smells musty, you always come into a warm apartment and an early warm bath. That is the most cost-effective solution, nothing with additional electric heating.

Our situation is not comparable because our bathrooms are always heated to 20 to 21°. Nevertheless, I purchased an electric freestanding towel radiator for our third son as a third towel rack (there was no more space on the walls!). The radiator runs with a timer for a maximum of half an hour per day. It switches on 10 minutes before the shower, so the youngest child enjoys the luxury of a pre-warmed towel and the towel dries quickly again during the remaining time. It is practical as an additional heat source for drying – I did not intend to use the radiator as a supplementary heater.
