Hello.
Why is the basement often concreted and not built with masonry, even though the ground floor and attic are built with masonry?
On the ground floor/attic, you see a lot of monolithic construction with bricks, but in the basement there is a multi-layer structure with concrete and external insulation, which the builders obviously decided against above ground.
What are the pros and cons here?
Greetings from Swabia.
