Hello, this time I have a technical question. I know, that's not something you usually hear from me. But I really have no idea about this. It's about the heat pump, because even a butcher's house needs to be heated, in case it ever gets finished. The new heating installer offered me 2 units of EcoAir614M from Giersch for the two semi-detached houses. Does anyone have experience with this?

No experience, but a question for you - what kind of bunkers are you building that require such heat pumps? For KFW 55, any heat pump is sufficient for at least 250 sqm of living space.

Don't be surprised that Hausbau2019 became Hausbau0815. It was just blocked, probably because of some critical comments. Of course, it could be that I will be gone again right away with this registration.........
We are building without KfW. Aerated concrete 36.5 cm, without external insulation. 2 apartments each 220 sqm and another 200 sqm WU basement with underfloor heating.

OMG

Then the performance fits.

Sorry, but I can't contribute more here at the moment.

OK. Besides the performance, I would also be interested in the eligibility for funding, if anyone can say something about that. I was told that this depends on the size of the object, the location, and the standard outdoor conditions. While I can still understand the first two parameters, it stops at the third. The standard outdoor conditions are apparently temperatures that have been set for a specific location for the calculation of the funding. For our location, this value is -14 degrees. With this value, we would not be eligible for funding. If the value were -13 degrees, we would be eligible. Could someone please explain this to me?

You can play around a bit with the annual performance factor calculators from the German Heat Pump Association to see which values are shown under which framework data. The lower the temperature, the less effective a heat pump becomes. I’m at -7 degrees – that’s easy to calculate for everything (but I don’t want any BAFA funding).
