It took us six weeks, but our neighbor only took two. That definitely has nothing to do with the fact that his mother used to work at the building authority ... In the end, the parties involved have no incentive to work efficiently or quickly, which is why it takes so long. And when there is already too much work... one of course gladly takes the opportunity to keep restarting the deadline.

With us, it is like this that our caseworker is apparently very thorough. She requests something additional, we or the architect call to ask exactly. Then she was once sick and once on vacation during the first call, and the colleague on the phone said that she does not understand the additional request, it was already done.

I do not understand that, although of course I am pleased for us, but I previously thought it didn’t matter which caseworker, since it is an authority and everyone has the same requirements. Apparently, that is not the case.

Sorry, but that is sheer nonsense and an impertinence to the third power! Generally speaking, at the "office," whatever it may be, people work. And people generally do not feel comfortable when their work does not decrease and is just pushed forward. On the contrary: people are happy when a file, a case, an order, or a process is completed and the next one can be tackled, so that the pile at the incoming or the heap in processing gets smaller. Whether privately at home, in writing, or at work. Personally speaking: I also work in an authority. I sometimes have to send work to A, get it back to then process the information and then send the result again to B. I have no influence on the speed of A and B. With A it's fast, with B: it depends, everything from 3 weeks up to over 3 years happens. Between A and B, however, I am called upon again and cannot always act immediately because x, y, and z have priority. So it can also stall with me for up to 4 weeks. The office I work for, let's call it C, has a guideline of 3 minutes to read (and understand?) a file. … ! For those who do not understand: employees "in the office" are paid with taxpayers' money and cannot just be replaced structurally by temporary agency staff. Tip: whoever calls ME or other colleagues personally, I inevitably have to pull their file from my stack and take care of it. If I take care of it, I can also finish the file right away. Provided the caller seems sympathetic to me, of course. Otherwise, it gets pushed all the way down again. ;)

Unfortunately, that is not true. Our three neighbors all received their building permits at almost the same time. All three had different projects. One was allowed to cut down all trees, another had to leave 10, and another 14 trees standing. Although it was previously a contiguous forest property that was divided.

Nothing surprises me anymore.

But probably different sizes of the plots?

They are all the same with us. The difference is about 1,450 sqm with +/- 20 sqm.
