We also have a storage room and even more supplies, because the next small shop is 3km away and the next supermarket 6km, you don't just go for a forgotten pack of noodles. And with what the seven-headed caterpillars here are gobbling up, I would otherwise have to go shopping every day ;)

Here evolution becomes clear. Scorners of stores have lost the old Stone Age gene, friends of stores have not. They also grill on an open fire, gnaw chicken drumsticks in their paw, and mate on cowhide. Yes, that's how it is. The influencer can say whatever he wants....K.

But that is not the reality nowadays. Who even has time to preserve so much with a full-time job, household, garden, sports, and taking care of children? That makes others immediately feel guilty and start preserving dinner for the winter today...

I think that it brings you joy and has become a hobby. Some hobbies cost a lot of money; hopefully, this one even brings satisfaction, praise, recognition, and saves household money. My sister-in-law spends every free minute sewing patchwork items; compared to that, fiddling with busy boards seems more profitable and also more meaningful to me.

Back to the question of whether you need a pantry. What you call this room and where it is located in the house seems pretty irrelevant to me. However, every apartment or house should have a room where things go that need to be tidied up so you don’t drown in chaos. I have a small pantry next to the kitchen, a utility room, an attic, a basement, and soon my own study. The disadvantage of too much storage space is that you hoard, and over the years a lot of junk accumulates.

That is probably clear, that she is not doing it out of necessity...
