Drawer problem with IKEA BESTA TV unit

I just assembled my Besta TV bench and two matching corps for extension. I now have a total of 4 drawers in them. All of them are equipped with this soft-closing self-closing mechanism.

However, 3 of the four drawers do not close all the way by themselves! I screwed everything together exactly according to the instructions, checked it four times, and verified with a level. All screws of the sliding rails are exactly as they should be. I don’t see any possibility left to adjust anything.

The three drawers that don’t close completely stop about 1/2 cm before fully closing, and I have to push them the rest of the way to close them completely.

I asked at Ikea in the store, but the saleswoman did not know this problem and could not help me further. She offered to exchange the rails. However, I think that if 3 out of 4 drawers don’t work, it would be a huge coincidence if those were defective products.

Does anyone else have this problem besides me? Can it be fixed?

Hello, swap the working pair with one of the other pairs. If the working slides also function in the other carcass with the other box and the other drawers still do not work, the likelihood is high that the problem lies with the slides.

Is the problem resolved by now?

I had exactly the same problem with a Besta dresser (sideboard) measuring 120x64x38 which is in my dining room. Two drawers, and only one of them closed properly. I also swapped them back and forth and found out that it must be the rails. So I exchanged them. With the new rails, exactly the same problem. Exchanged them again and with the third set of rails, still the same. I almost went crazy and the staff at IKEA already called me crazy. Meanwhile, because of all the back and forth, the screw holes for the rails were torn out and completely worn out. IKEA kindly replaced the two side panels of the corpus for me as well. The rails of one drawer still did not work properly. Then I bought the rails at another IKEA (but with a different printed production date) and since then everything is fine. I think there are simply defective rails that do not function properly. It's all cheap junk, unfortunately.
