Do the doors open towards the hallway?

Hello, can someone tell me why the room doors almost always open into the room, and not towards the hallway? I would find it quite practical for some rooms if the doors did not open into the room (guest toilet, bathroom, dining room). That way you don’t have to consider the arrangement of the room. And our hallway is quite large anyway, so the doors wouldn’t be "in the way" there when opened.

You can do it - it works with any frame.

You just don't do it because you want to minimize the risk of accidentally slamming the door in someone's face.

Besides, most doors are usually open anyway (especially with kids), and then it's quite impractical in the hallway.

Where are you actually restricted in the room because of the doors later on? You hardly ever open them to 180 degrees, do you?

What kind of hallway do you have that is so wide it doesn't bother anymore?

I don't quite understand that either. You _plan_ the position of the doors in the rooms, usually placing them in front of a closet in the corner of the room. And basically, hallways are somewhat narrower, just as narrow as necessary, so the doors would be in the required path in the way — see escape route. Of course, there are situations like small closets where the door is left to open outwards, e.g., [WC] or [Abstellkammer].

We have planned the door to the living-dining room to open into the hallway. In the hallway, the wall to the kitchen is at a 90-degree angle just 10 cm away, so that the door itself does not "hang around in the way" even when open.

Of course, rooms are planned so that the door does not disturb. But I think a door in the hallway is even less disturbing than in the room. The hallway is just under 3m wide. And the door of the guest WC, for example, is usually always closed anyway, so it is not open into the hallway. And the door of the dining room opens towards the wall in the hallway. So that would not be a problem either, even if it is open.
