The offer refers to a complete cleaning, not a final construction cleaning.
Also, there is no mention of any adhesive residues on all surfaces. When I think about where we had adhesive residues from the protective film on the window frames, glass, etc... The offer here only refers to the floors.
A cleaning like simple wiping is, in my opinion, something different, unless it is about fine dust.
I think a (small) company simply took on too much without knowing what is included in a BER. And this is what the accepted offer looks like accordingly.
Accordingly, the review may also be made, because if a company keeps itself small or takes on too much, that does not work.
A crime scene is also cleaned by a specialist cleaner and not a cleaning lady who just wants to fill a gap in her schedule.
But I believe Kati has blocked me – so she will never read this... unless someone copies it to her again
What, why should I block you? O.o
If I didn’t respond to posts in the past – I somehow only see half of the replies to me weeks later because I mostly only click on the small bell. I have often overlooked replies in my own threads because they were not "alerted" and did not appear in the "new posts."
I also think that the company was not hired/prepared for a final construction cleaning. But it was stated in the order text (see further below). MyHammer made a “complete cleaning” out of it in the title, I don’t know why, but the company’s written offer contained the text “final construction cleaning.”
Wiping the cabinets was also included in the offer (see quote a few pages earlier), and not only the floors but explicitly the cleaning of tile backsplashes and floors. The company also explicitly stated by phone that residues from construction would be removed from all tiles. There were no ambiguities in the offer. It was just carelessly executed. Maybe also because one of the three announced staff was missing and one was new to the company. But that is not really my problem as a customer, right?
I feel a bit addressed here because the recommendation for MyHammer for this assignment came from me.
However, I also remember the note that you get what you pay for.
For 420€, understandably only a rough cleaning is possible. A “real” final construction cleaning costs 1200–1500€. Cement residue, for example, is already laborious to remove, suitable products are not free of charge. Heavy dirt on windows is also not done with one wipe, and the risk of damage is high, i.e., careful work = more expensive.
No way, the tip did come from you, but I have also hired people through MyHammer in the past and was very satisfied. Our painter, for example, came through MyHammer, and we are very happy with him—especially because of the price-performance ratio. He certainly didn’t deliver perfect work, but in that case, we didn’t expect it either because it was clear from the start that the result would be partially suboptimal due to the substrate we offered him. Also, he offered the work for an amount that for the time spent was only slightly above the cost of materials (if we had bought the materials ourselves, it would have been more profitable for him with wholesale prices).
Otherwise, it is often said that I should have noticed from the price that it couldn’t be right. In my defense: I received several offers, all around that range. None was significantly more expensive, some even cheaper. I assumed that it is simply cheaper here regionally than in metropolitan areas.
Maybe it was also because MyHammer indicated the title as “complete cleaning” instead of final construction cleaning, which I had initially entered.
