Dissatisfied with the final construction cleaning - am I being too picky?

You can try to see if they will reduce the price a little if you mention the defects. Otherwise, I wouldn’t start a legal battle over that amount, but rather let it go and learn from it.

you are not being too picky. That is simply poor work. But my sister, for example, also cleans behind the fixtures with the (old) toothbrush afterwards because the cleaning lady never manages it properly. I would just write it off at that amount and not get upset any longer (time without annoyance is much more valuable than money). Some things you just have to do yourself.

I think that's too generalizing. I have already commissioned jobs and they were carried out as desired, even without my presence. In one case, the owner of a small local interior design company came and did all the painting work in the house with a perfect result. It's probably as always, you can have luck or bad luck, whether MyHammer or elsewhere. I believe that you can definitely demand corrections, whether it will get better then...? In our office, a colleague once complained to the cleaning lady that it was still dirty, to which she asked him where the dirt was. He then said: "If you really didn't see it yourself, you don't need to come again." I would do the final cleaning myself anyway, simply because of the feeling that everything is as clean as I want it to be for myself and not just because the mop water was changed twice. There is also a crucial point. In my opinion, not everyone is able to handle beautiful and special things (surfaces, TV, leather, fabrics, and much more) appropriately; you need knowledge for that. In an office or a school, it is usually different than in a private household.

The question is, did you pay for a normal cleaning for moving in or a final construction cleaning? What and in what quality did you pay for? A normal cleaner wouldn’t scrape the paint out of the joints for you either; that’s stupid work that has to be scrubbed on knees. My neighbors paid a professional company that cleaned for 2 days with 4 people. If you hired in the same scale, then you can expect more as well. How much did you agree on fixed?

Here is the offer text I received:

So it was already advertised as post-construction cleaning.
I think I will follow your advice, clean up again and write it off as a lesson learned.
It is already noticeably cleaner than before. But I will have to significantly spoil their review balance. That is not worth 5 stars to me, not even 3.
