We are still dealing with our reserved plot of land. The plot belongs to a new development area, which is currently still a field... We know the parcel number and the sqm of the plot, or building site. But when/how does one know how long and wide the plot will be?

To my knowledge, the responsible authority is usually the [Katasteramt]. They maintain a register of all properties, the [Liegenschaftskataster]. You can order a property map ([Flurkarte]) there or later, when the construction project becomes more concrete, a site plan for the property. The site plan is usually required for the building application.

If it is a field without any reference points kte for you, you will know at the latest when the surveyor has staked out where your boundaries are.

Thank you for the answers. "Later" would mean "after purchase"... Hmm, I will have to call the municipality and/or the land registry office on Monday.

My property can be offered to you, the exact dimensions of which are not even clear yet, but the development plan is already available. Or you are simply very naive.

What is naive about it? It is simply an early phase... probably not even streets are recognizable yet.
For example, in our area, new development zones are already reserved before infrastructure is established; if you wait, you might only get something in a B location.

I got more information back then at our land registry office for a fee of 10 euros.

Frank already mentioned that.
