Design of garage and entrance area

Since the garage door was unfortunately not planned "harmoniously" in terms of placement (i.e., no space on the right side to the wall), I am considering whether something could be done here color-wise with panels to the left of the garage door in the same color as the garage door or with wooden cladding.

Why should the light well actually be closed? Is that good for the basement? I might take up Haydee’s idea to design the grille in such a way that 2 or 3 plant pots can also stand there, and then at least one more along the wall in front of it.. that way the light well is better concealed.

And generally it is good that your garage door is not centered, otherwise there would be conflicts with the platform and the driveway.

The light well is actually no longer needed and is too large in my opinion, so the idea is to brick it up completely. Probably at the time the garage should have been made wider to the right, then it would be more harmonious, but unfortunately it isn’t :)

What color could you imagine?

I would paint the walls, the plaster in the anthracite color from the roof or even work with wooden cladding and orient the garage door and front door in the color of the cladding of the upper floor. And slightly extend the roof as a pergola so that you don’t immediately fall into such a ravine. Add a nice wall lamp and/or hanging lamp. The corner has a lot of potential, but I wouldn’t just take gray gray gray. Otherwise, it will be yawn instead of wow!

I have also already thought about painting, but I am unsure whether only the areas next to the garage door or also all around the front door? Then the contrast to the white of the rest of the wall would be quite strong. I think wooden cladding is great. But then the same as above the garage, right? And where to place it? What exactly do you mean by pergola, extending the roof? There where the wooden cladding ends at the bottom. Thanks for the photo, I think it’s great!

I am a Green fan ... smiled ... but maybe something like that, green is not particularly ... nice here maybe also a sunny yellow. The front door then in the color of the window frames, around the gate at the goal wall then wooden cladding like in the floor above

In general, it depends on the look you are aiming for, I would collect examples to see what typically appeals to me. I have surfed on front gardens near our driveway and read books on the topic of front gardens, where you can find good tips and examples.

I would only do the front door, gate, and new steps or paving stones for you.
I would find wooden cladding around the gate too much.
Instead, as already suggested, nice planters (and/or flower beds along the house?), a stylish new lamp, maybe some decorative stuff (depending on taste), and above all a nice bench as an eye-catcher and for putting down bags, etc. Alternatively, a decorative seating area with 2 garden chairs and a small round table (1 chair is already there). I find that very inviting and also useful and can be quickly put away if necessary.
Where do you usually park your car? Include that in the plan!
For the garbage bins, definitely provide a place in the shade and then somehow hide them (although opinions differ widely on this).

What is the garage for? What is stored there, how often do you use it? The door actually still looks good. You could paint it – the color depends on the effect you want to achieve. I would take up 's idea and extend the wooden cladding from the top downwards in line. Not closed, but with gaps like above the window. On the left and right, so that a kind of open windbreak is created. Behind that then the garage door or just a door (now there's also a double door in there, I wouldn't change that into a sectional door).
