There are already quite a few valuable tips here. Many thanks to everyone. We really have to think about where we will park the car first when designing (thanks Tigerlily), because if we design everything nicely and then park the car right in front of it again, it only makes limited sense. We have enough space.
Unfortunately, the garage door has to go, it’s already rusting and pretty worn out after more than 40 years. But I have already been eyeing a double-wing door.
: I didn’t quite understand the cladding in line going down, sorry. Do you mean the cladding as wide as in front of the window above, then also on the left and above the garage door? Or flush with the wooden cladding extended down from above, on the right to about the middle of the garage door?
Thanks also for all the encouragement to be a bit “bolder.” We actually are - see photo of the back of the house with the attic conversion.
Further tips are of course always very welcome.
