That doesn't make the post any better either.

Sorry, but with posts at this level, I will withdraw from this thread for the time being.

Fortunately, today I can also feel like a woman when I walk to the car with the little one. It’s unimaginable if men were to take care of children...
The main problem is not that the original poster is a man (if at all?), but that he has set his mind on pushing the house into the corner at all costs to get an allegedly bigger garden. The disadvantages that arise from this are mentally downplayed, and parking on the street is still too often allowed. The rude awakening comes after moving in, when you don’t want to constantly walk that far to the car and realize that you constantly have to reverse 50 meters at night, eventually scratching the car badly. At the latest, the rude awakening comes when various other plots with such backyard houses are densified and the street is fully parked.

Well, planning public space already as parking space is also very "social"... a dead end is usually equipped with a turning circle, which is supposed to be used for _turning_. Parking can be tolerated. And don't tell me now that you considered constantly running up and down the hammer driveway with three small children. And please don't take one answer out of many here as a forum standard. You can very well ignore well-meaning posts. And whoever gives you 50 good pieces of advice might possibly be right with the 51st as well.

Exactly.

But if it's true after all ...

I can understand your argumentation and am grateful for the critical comments. However, none of you know our current life situation, nor the parking situation in the dead-end street or other framework conditions, such as what is personally important to us and what gives us quality of life. We are at peace with our decision and will leave everything as planned.

Aside from that, maybe in 5 years there will be cars that automatically drive me in and out of my driveway ;-)
