Hello everyone,

we are looking for a cabinet for our utility room.

Some time ago, we saw a combination from a kitchen manufacturer in an advertisement.
On the far left, a cabinet with drawers for supplies, etc.
On the far right, a narrow cabinet section with a door where the vacuum cleaner can be stored upright and some cleaning utensils, and in the middle, 2 cabinet sections each with a large half-height niche recessed. For washing machine and dryer and underneath each a drawer and above that normal shelves.

Total width something like 2.4m or 2.6m. Would fit well and look decent.

However, it’s not exactly cheap. You can probably expect a bit over €3000.
Now a relative told us that he wouldn’t put the washing machine up high because it moves or possibly even “wanders.”
Well, ours (so far) doesn’t, but of course I don’t want to spend that much money and then everything is rattling after 2 years.

What do you think about that?
How have you organized this in your utility room?

Google "Schüller Hauswirtschaftsraum", they have quite a lot on offer. I guess other manufacturers can do the same, but for me Schüller has been especially present so far. We have also planned this. Whether with Schüller, Ikea or something completely different is still open at the moment.

Yes, I had already clicked through the online planner, but that was it. There was no option to create an offer based on it or anything like that. I also wrote to ask where it can be purchased, but unfortunately never received a reply. That was probably about 6 weeks ago.

Why not go to a kitchen studio with Schüller in the program for a change? That’s how I would have proceeded now… Most kitchen manufacturers cannot or do not want to operate purely online.

We have a pedestal for the washing machine+dryer, next to it on the pedestal an Ikea kitchen cabinet with drawers (for detergent etc). Under the pedestal there is space for all the laundry baskets. Above the appliances and the cabinet is a worktop for folding clothes; on the wall above hang two 80cm wide, 40cm high wall cabinets for towels, cleaners etc. Next to this construction there are normal tall kitchen cabinets with drawers and shelves on the left and right for everything you need. The costs were only a few hundred euros, but I am very satisfied with this construction. It has also proven itself very well in use.

From Hailo there are apparently also fittings for cabinets, but unfortunately I do not know how they compare in price and/or quality.
