Critique for a single-family house blueprint

Wardrobe: What would be a concrete alternative?
Storage room: Since the kitchen is opposite the driveway, you have to carry all the groceries either through the house or carry individual supplies a few meters. At the moment, I still consider the second evil the lesser one.

That’s why I would have planned the kitchen upstairs (north?). There are also windows there and closer access towards the garage/storage :)
I am also (almost) always in favor of a utility room upstairs. Nevertheless, you have the basement, so it follows that you also want to fill it with rooms. The almost refers to a house with a basement. However, I would set up a nice TV/ironing room there – I have never liked spending half my day doing useless work (ironing) in a laundry room... :rolleyes:

At first it was actually the other way around, but since a lot will probably be happening in the dining room/kitchen due to multiple children, we swapped it so that the area is very bright during the day. In our (previous) opinion, it is more important for this room to be friendly and bright than for the living room, which will probably only be used for watching TV in the evenings. Furthermore, from the now southern kitchen-living area you can look over the neighboring property, which can be used by us as an extended garden until further notice. South is on the left in the drawings.

You can also put an ironing board in the living room...;)

Are you dragging? Or are you even ironing????

My wife will also have to live with carrying her ironing board from the utility room into the living room when ironing is done. Those things are so light... it's no problem at all
