Hello,

is there a tiler here who can roughly say how much it costs to cover a U-shaped staircase (double winder without intermediate landing) with tiles using the thick-bed method?
This is about the pure labor cost, and would it cost more (labor cost) if a Schlüter strip is installed at the front edge, and if so, how much?

You'll be around 1000 euros without material...

Hello

I don't want to unsettle you, have you ever looked at a U-staircase with tiles?
We were advised against tiling a U-staircase during the first construction because the grouting on such a staircase creates a disturbance.

Take a look at such staircases with tile coverings first before you regret it later.

Regards

Perhaps I am the exception, but I find the pattern interesting at the moment. And since the tiles are 30 x 60 cm, the grout lines are not that extreme...

ok, I have absolutely nothing against joints, it's just that on your staircase none are aligned.
