What is the price per square meter of the tiles? Are the skirting boards included? How many power outlets/ network sockets/ satellite sockets are included? Which ventilation is included? Most houses nowadays are built so tightly that problems can occur without regular ventilation. Are connection costs included? Such a sewage pump can be very expensive.

For earthworks, I have planned an additional 5,000 EUR. I will use the excavated soil to fill a depression in the garden. About 70–100 m³ of soil will fit there.

Utilities: Due to the elevation difference, there is a pressure drainage system on the property. According to the water supplier, the mechanics must be renewed to connect a third house. Additionally, the house needs its own lifting system due to the distance from the main pressure drainage. Overall, I am planning only 20,000 EUR for wastewater.

I have roughly completed the extensive outdoor facilities (lawn, trees, and fence). I converted an outbuilding into a workshop. Electricity only needs to be laid from the house to there. Irrigation is done via a channel pump; a PE piping system has already been installed as part of the outdoor facilities.

I have to do the terrace and splash guard myself. The material is on site. (This year, I wanted to build a floating frame for the boat dock out of the terrace decking boards; because of the house decision, the boards will just become a wooden terrace.)

Electrical inspection is a good point...

We upgraded the electrical to around 60 instead of 40 sockets, plus external cables and some fancy stuff, and also some lamps: extra charge 2500,-
Tiles: we were allowed up to 25,- per sqm net, including base tiles, that was sufficient.
Doors: there were smooth white standard ones. We took them.
Outdoor tap, one included, one extra, plus washbasin, utility sink, totaled 1200,- on top.
The most expensive was the garage: 7500,- complete.
Plus earthworks extra, also about 7.5k. (Slope location)
Utilities: 3k with telephone
Wastewater connection, gutter connection, 2500,-
Floor coverings: 1700,-
Painting: 5000/laying.
Plissees 1000,-
Garden and paving work: 15000,-
Survey finished house: 1100,-
Building permit 800.00
Topping-out ceremony 500,-
Ikea kitchen 4800.00
So, now check your side. All prices from 2017. Karsten

In the standard floor plan Stadthaus 129 from Danwood, you have a utility room including a technical room with less than 4m². Isn’t that very tight without a basement?

I see it quite pragmatically: Little space, few landfills.
For washing machine, heating, and storage it is enough.

I live minimalism
I lived on 20 sqm during my studies and now on 30 sqm
