That's already at the level of the public sector ;-)

In other words: "not the norm" for home builders.

Not necessarily. Years ago, we were sure we could get our dream house including the plot for less than 300,000. There are those nice colorful brochures everywhere starting at slab level. Turnkey doesn’t necessarily mean a moving van pulls up and that there are such things as ancillary building costs and that some houses, for example, offer wiring from 1955 – yes, we had to learn that too.

Comparing the actual final price with the flashy deceptive advertising price is like comparing apples and oranges. "Illustrations may contain optional extras" is already well known from car brochures; it can no longer be a surprise with houses. If the construction specification states that there is a ceiling lamp outlet in the middle of every room and in the kitchen you already need a triple socket extension for the toaster, then the clear consequence is: the house will be more expensive than "from 199 thousand." If the plot has rocky or sandy soil, the foundation will be more expensive. But that is not inflation.

One does not know the construction service description when one is at the stage of "look, the house only costs this much." What comes with it is already clear, but turnkey initially means to most people that the moving van arrives, not turnkey because the front door is installed. There is quite a difference between that stage and having the first meaningful offer.
