But we don't save on anything that could become a problem for us later. Always use concrete C25. Roof truss as studio truss. Roof tiles storm-proof clipped. Solid door and window profiles, bitumen base protection. Lime-cement plaster in all wet rooms. Building services from Junkers including heating. Etc. The washbasin is replaceable, the roof is as it is. Karsten

Good evening,

the expert was faster than expected and sent us the foundation report on Friday.
Two small boreholes and two dynamic probing tests were conducted, each diagonally at the corners of the entire semi-detached house.
The result is as expected or rather feared: silt, additionally with a soft (partly very soft) consistency.
Foundation-suitable soil (rock) was only found from a depth of 4-5 meters, one of the small boreholes down to 7 meters showed only silt.

From the report:

The recommendation is foundation using CSV columns...

... or alternatively a soil cushion

I haven't had the opportunity to speak personally with the expert yet. The cost estimate from the general contractors is still pending as well.
For me as a layperson, both options sound very expensive.
Does anyone have experience with what additional foundation costs we might face (rough estimate)?
I would like comparison values for the statements from the general contractors.

Thanks in advance!

If you don't have about 10m of parking space in front of a garage, a sectional door is definitely more practical. You also don't buy one every day.

Besides, I find that ventilation works much better with a sectional door. Just raise it about 10cm and all the damp things dry out.

: directly at reker

Mh; is it already standing? The 3600 are only the upper parts; the garage-ready floor is still missing; the foundations underneath that.

Reker sells the steel swing gate himself for 400...

However, sectional gates cost around 1500; and every additional meter you have to count 1000€ + some fairy tales.

If you want a window, some electrical work and a gate drive, that adds another 1600 on top

Caspar, ours has been standing since the end of January and now serves as a construction hut for the men and material storage.
