Hello everyone,

I am asking for advice and help.
Our property is located in a building gap, all communications still need to be developed (electricity, water, fiber optic) - however, they are at the property boundary (2-3 meters away).
We have applied for the connections with the respective trades. Each time, theoretically, one has to excavate the ground, lay pipes and cables, and then cover it up again.
Do you have a tip on how to "coordinate" the trades in such a way that the ground is only excavated once and then all pipes/connections are laid?
This can also save money.
Or is it rather utopian?
Thank you!

Best regards
Nils

Hi,

I work for a company that, among other things, carries out house connections (electricity, gas, water, communication) on behalf of the network operators.

Ideally, we try to combine all media.
However, it must be ensured that we have the orders from the network operators.
I think that's where you should start:
Make sure that the network operators have your orders and that they are also received promptly by the executing civil engineering company.

They will then contact you, and you can possibly discuss together how to proceed.
At least that’s how it works for us ([S-H]).

We laid the supply pipes up to the connections, and the company that installed the electricity connection also immediately connected the fiber optic pipe and Telekom. Water was connected by the municipality along with the empty conduits.

That was not a problem for us. Rather, we advised NetzeBW to connect at the transformer station, and not as planned by NetzeBW, at the other end of the property. The executing company also agreed that this made sense.

You just have to talk to the companies. Telekom (copper) was also done right away, with a telephone consultation with Telekom, stating that we would submit the registration later.

With us, there are always 2 options for utility companies (at least water and electricity): 1. The handover point is just behind the property boundary and you are responsible for further installation into the house yourself. 2. The utility company installs the lines into the house. In the 1st case, it would be quite simple to hire a company that then installs the lines together. They can also install wastewater lines at the same time. You can also do it yourself. In the 2nd case, you have to coordinate with the utility companies. But with us, each utility company had its own company that carries it out. Fiber optic is supposed to be installed soon with us, and the installation is free of charge.

You are lucky, here the BLS wanted a flat rate of almost 1000 euros.
We had to prove to them that the pipe was already laid with the network connection; photos were not enough for them.
The flat rate consists of laying the pipe and blowing in the cable.
But the service for laying was already provided and paid for.

Connections applied for after 1.1.22 even cost 1500 for private and 3500 for business customers.

Totally exaggerated prices, and legally questionable.

You mean fiber optic?
Maybe it’s because we already have a regular telephone line.
