Hello everyone,

we are currently planning our new building. The house will have approximately 175 sqm of living space.
At the moment, we are gathering information regarding the topic of ventilation systems. It is to be a central ventilation system with heat recovery, and I wanted to ask if you could recommend any manufacturers/models?
It is important to us to have an efficient ventilation system with quiet operation as well as low maintenance costs (filter replacement).

Furthermore, we are interested in whether you generally recommend a central ventilation system with an enthalpy exchanger or with a rotary heat exchanger? Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards

I don't think there are any devices with rotary heat exchangers anymore... What kind of model is that supposed to be?

So we have a Zehnder ComfoAir 350q with an enthalpy exchanger and still a humidity level in the living rooms of 30-35%, if that answers your question. I changed the filters for the first time last week. The filters in the device cost around €33, the exhaust filters cost €10 for 5 pcs. You can hear the system at 2 out of 3 at night despite the silencer. But it will be the same with any other system. It's a subjective matter anyway.

Hoval or Systemair, for example, still offer models with rotary heat exchangers.

Interesting, I thought something like that was long outdated. The advantage is probably the price? We have a device with an enthalpy exchanger. As with , the air is currently quite dry at about 35% at 23-24°C, which is not surprising given the 60% at 5° outside temperature.
