Temperature difference works - even if others here claim otherwise. I often adjust our office when I want to work out in there. 19 or 20 degrees make a noticeable difference. I am also often busy in the bathroom (mostly because of the intense bathing ) In the bedroom you can tell when the door is constantly closed in the evening: it’s really quite cool there. We only notice drafts in the living room...

Can only confirm Yvonne. When we have the bedroom, it is always nice and cool there, despite [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] and appropriate air circulation.

Wow, nice list. Unfortunately, it misses the point.

[*]Wastewater in bathroom and kitchen goes outside, away from me
[*]We only have a small household waste bin, which goes out to the trash at least every other day
    [*]Toilet also goes outside
[*]Legionella? Sure, but the water is regularly heated for that
[*]Water filter: Yes, our fridge has a water dispenser/ice cube function. We never used it and therefore switched it off. So we don’t need this chlorine(?) filter either
[*]For dirt in the entrance area we use a standard vacuum cleaner
    [*]...

Most points on the list relate to things that go outside! What worries us above all, however, is that the supply air ducts become contaminated and thus the air that is blown IN becomes contaminated.

It has been pointed out several times here that this ventilation technology is already established in offices/commercial buildings, but honestly that’s quite a discouraging argument. Professionally, I know a lot of offices and the ventilation systems there are quite dirty, even though they probably usually have a maintenance contract...

The dirt is usually not in the pipes but on the surfaces immediately following the pipes, such as valves, ceilings and ceiling tiles, walls, etc.

Somewhere I once posted pictures of what a controlled residential ventilation system looks like after 3 years of continuous operation.

Here: I have looked it up for you:

Even if these cases of contamination occur, the question remains what the greater evil is. With [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] you have optimal ventilation of the house, optimal mold protection. With appropriate filters, you can remove fine dust, pollen, tobacco smoke, etc. from the outside air and supply it "clean" to the interior. If you are still concerned about contamination in the duct, you can have it cleaned.

I was at the heating/plumbing guy on Saturday to discuss the offer.

A Zehnder ComfoAir 350 is to be installed. I have agreed to the optional moisture recovery. Now he wanted to sell us the geothermal exchanger or the brine heat exchanger (keyword "pre-cooling in summer" - I understand it is not air conditioning) as an option for an additional €2500.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it necessary? I read somewhere that the moisture recovery module alone prevents the controlled residential ventilation from freezing in winter.

I could spend the €2500 better elsewhere, e.g. in the plumbing sector.
