Doing undeclared work, but not only buddies ;-)
But even when done by buddies, it remains undeclared work ;-)
Basically, I don't understand why people here are never trusted with their own work. Maybe Dad, Mom, / father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, or brother-in-law are skilled in trades, meaning the closest family circle.
Why do you need a trade qualification for drywall, laying floors, painting, or carrying stones and mixing mortar in shell construction?
Typically, the usual builders here have (in-law) parents aged 50+. When you work full-time on construction at that age, you become measurably slower than the professional mason you are supposed to assist after at most three weeks. In theory, this effect is often downplayed or completely ignored. Besides, there isn't much wiggle room price-wise in shell construction, and the replaceability of the professional is different for tile sizes of 60x30 compared to 20x20. Dad used to do the electrics himself, yes, but back then the refrigerator couldn't call you yet, if you know what I mean. ETICS is not textured wallpaper.
