The fact that the construction company is trying to discredit my own surveyor would immediately make me suspicious. I have also often heard from people who have brought in an external surveyor, and so far there have never been any problems. As the previous speakers said: defects had to be remedied, and these are exactly what the surveyors determine.
Regarding the TÜV inspections, I was also suspicious at first. With our construction company, it is such that we have a warranty insurance included in the scope of services, which is from the same company that also performs the TÜV inspections. Therefore, the TÜV certainly has a strong interest in properly identifying all defects.
