I am a single mom and have been gifted an unused Ikea sink (1 basin/1 draining area with an overflow located directly in between) for my new kitchen. Unfortunately, the connection from the overflow to the siphon is missing, so the sink and the dishwasher cannot be connected. The sink is made of "hard plastic" (surface similar to granite) and was probably purchased at IKEA. There is no suitable connector at the hardware store, and unfortunately, I have not received any response from Ikea so far. The outlet of the overflow is very unusual and rather rare – it should be a part that can be slipped on, as the overflow does not end flush at the bottom, but rather as an "oval-rectangular pipe" about 3-4 cm long (awkward phrasing, but as a layperson I lack the technical terms here). The drain cannot be screwed onto the overflow (as is usual with other sink brands). Can someone help me with the following information: - what the part is called (possibly an item number from IKEA) - where I can get it Unfortunately, as a "newbie" I cannot upload a photo here – then everything would probably explain itself. ;o) Many thanks for your help!
