Hello,

I have a question whether someone maybe has an alternative to concrete from the concrete mixer. So, for concreting a basement and ceilings, could the concrete also be mixed on site? My problem is that our property is only accessible by a very narrow street on one side and on the other side there is a bridge with a maximum allowed weight of 9 tons. I called several concrete services here in the area, but they all only have large trucks to transport concrete. Concrete is needed for a 150 sqm basement, a basement ceiling and

Thanks in advance for help and tips

Of course, you can also mix concrete by hand with a mixer. Or with one of those screed concrete machines. But who is supposed to do that? Discuss it with your construction company. It is possible.

150sqm of basement is already quite something. Just in case manual mixing at German market prices would become too expensive, I would have an alternative offer made by a crane company. They have so-called "bridge crossing systems" for "less load-bearing structures ... such as bridges or viaducts with either too weak or deteriorated components." I can gladly send you a provider with whom we ourselves have already had very good experiences via PM when the time comes.

Why not pump? That also works 30 meters high and 50 meters far with any vehicle without problems.

Hello and thank you for the many responses,
The pumping sounds very interesting, is more than 50 m also possible? For that, you would probably have to build a station on the street.
We have a distance of 30 m and a height difference of about 5 m to the street.
Then it only depends on whether you are allowed to close the street.

Our client will have to clarify that now. I’m curious what he thinks about the pumping solution....
