Comparison of solid house versus prefabricated house

Are you already finished with the construction? Your additional building costs are estimated very low. Especially if the cistern is supposed to be included. Or did you do the work yourself? Alone the connection of electricity, water and possibly gas can cost up to 8,000 and more. Very different depending on the region. For us, it was 5,000 €.

How do you now distinguish a good prefabricated house builder from a bad one? Are the more well-known ones also always the better ones?

If I had a recipe for that, I would write a book and then get myself a good lawyer :D

You can try asking the internet, and if you're lucky you will find both bad and good opinions. But as a rule, especially the big ones like to have their lawyers delete negative reports.

The most reliable opinions come directly from builders. Just drive to a new development area. Or maybe here via PM.

The deciding factor with prefabricated house suppliers is, as usual, the wall construction and the contract design. But that's the same with everyone. Maybe it is also important where production takes place and how work is generally carried out on the construction sites. There are definitely massive differences. :D And of course, the quality of the equipment matters. Unfortunately, show homes are not a good reference. Usually only the best is used there.

We have just built with a prefabricated house manufacturer and are very satisfied - we had a smooth construction process and moved in on time. We can therefore only recommend them. The wall structure can usually be explained in detail by most manufacturers, and it is perfectly fine to ask critical questions. You quickly notice whether the employee just wants to sell or actually provide advice.
