I am planning the ice cellar, I don't want to know how many new buildings have their refrigerators break down in the summer

As already mentioned, 40 years ago it was very modern to heat houses using storage heaters. Many also did not install a chimney and argued just as stupidly. Yes, electricity was very cheap back then. Especially night-time electricity.

Anyone today who wants to sell such a house with hazardous waste in the form of asbestos-containing components in the storage heaters has big problems.

And because there is no chimney installed that could be used for alternative heating, the price reductions are exorbitant. Who could have known back then that today there are small pellet heaters or efficient wood gasifiers?
By the way, the disposal costs per radiator of a storage heating system depending on size are between 300-500 euros today. Just as a note.

Without a chimney, just stupid. But even back then there were already all these smart alecks like today. Nothing has changed.

Retrofit exactly those houses with heat pumps or infrared heating. Insulation is necessary anyway. We will not return to burning fossil fuels in 40 years. I can only wish every new housing development to have as few houses as possible that think it's acceptable to pollute their neighbors with odors and pollutants.

Compared to earlier times, houses today are insulated many times better. An old house with night storage heaters can hardly be compared to a new building, even more insulation and you don’t need any heating at all. We have decided to additionally plan a multi-split air conditioning system, which can then cool properly in the increasingly hot summers (with photovoltaic electricity from the roof) and even heat additionally in winter. So better to prepare or install an air conditioning system, it will certainly increase the value of the house more in the future than a prepared chimney.

Fortunately, a chimney can be retrofitted for those who think they need it. It's just up to each smart aleck to dislike it, this eccentric stainless steel chimney.

All well and good. You just forget one thing. You are always dependent on electricity.

And sure, you can retrofit a chimney. It just makes little sense. For many, it's also pointless to install empty conduits. Why, you don't need them. Or a blind water pipe.

As I said, better to have it than to need it...

Such a chimney heats the whole house over 2 floors with its own heat. It works like a surface heating when you connect a wood stove to it.
