In this picture, you can clearly see: it is not about anything dramatic, but actually just about avoiding the small "double chin" from the outer frame and the sash frame, and visually pretending that the door sash consists entirely only of the panel itself. If you want to apply this consistently on both sides, with glass inserts, it means that the distance between the panes must also be precisely adjusted to the profile thickness.

I configured a door including a side panel with Obst and had a quote made.
Approximately €5000 including VAT and installation.
That is €1500 more than our budget.

The filling is made of aluminum.

Since this door is "off the shelf" and not a custom/special order, I actually thought it would be significantly cheaper than the custom order for about €6000 according to our desired photo.

Execution / equipment is more expensive there than the standard or special size topic. These prices are by far not the highest in the field for a door like in the photo; in this individuality league, price breakers no longer participate.

"Off the shelf" means, by the way, that for anything not 08/15 and white, it is not a "stock size" (especially not at the bestseller piece price), but merely that this design is fully calculated in standard sizes and the price can be given "off the shelf" immediately.

Windows and doors are nowadays custom-made for house construction. There is hardly any stock left.

I consider 5000 for this design a bargain.
