Hehe, there are some quirky people here. Of course, there are places that charge a lot for depositing. Whoever goes there is to blame themselves or simply doesn’t know any better. Sometimes it also makes more sense to pay a bit more than to drive forever farther just because the acceptance is cheaper there, but I think everyone here can do the math. Be glad if someone brings you soil, but don’t believe you can make a fortune with it. Maybe have them pay you for the 2 excavator hours to spread it on your property and that’s fine. Because even the one who wants to get rid of the soil isn’t always stupid. We often find someone who needs something. In an emergency, you talk to the farmer, they always have a hollow somewhere where they are happy if it’s closed. You might only pay a proportional cost for the bulldozer that flattens everything there later plus 2 cases of beer. Of course, we’re always talking about "normal" soil here, so not full of oil, bombs, or radioactive rods.

The idea is not new and reminds me of the stories of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn: the uncle's fence was supposed to be painted. The other boys came by and wanted to go play - it was annoying not to be able to go along. So, it was better to take money from them so that they "could also paint sometimes." Childish cunning, and cunning must still be allowed in WW, I suppose.
After all, the idea has a kernel of truth (namely, that landfills only accept demonstrably uncontaminated excavated material at the lowest tariff). Market economy is also about doing business with people who are not clever enough to find solutions at beer crate rates.
Conclusion: from my point of view, still only cheeky and not yet brazen.

It was Aunt Polly, there was no uncle involved. *offtopic end* I would say, first find out the regional "disposal costs," then you can estimate how much the other party saves. Normally, you can be glad if you get the soil for free. Otherwise, it is really common practice to transport the soil from one to the other and both pay for it.

You should take a close look at what you’re getting..... very quickly Z3 becomes Z0..... this is pure mafia.... I have a fairly large second property which I will also fill generously.... But that only works through large companies with a bit of contact and trust. They also pay me or provide excavators/dumpers and similar equipment free of charge for my further activities.... Only free acceptance is not market-appropriate. It is all insanely expensive to dispose of. It’s a win-win situation if you take something for it... also in Montabaur. Greetings from the Limburg Cathedral

Our general contractor nicely distributed our great topsoil to the other construction sites and charged us 6000 euros and charged the others something for delivering topsoil ... double charging ... unfortunately, we realized too late ...

to privately deposit the excavation somewhere for free, you would need good contacts ... to the local farmer or something ..

That is WRONG! If the TE comes to me like that, I turn around before I tell him where he can get his dirt otherwise. And I will not be the only one reacting that way because win-win is a business model. If someone comes greedy, thinking from the social network that he is in a demanding situation, then somehow he was not properly powdered as a child and should get some social education. Private builders are in the same boat and should support each other as equals and not make a business out of it. You made my evening!
