At some point, you also encounter problems with the maximum sizes of plastic windows. Then the financially intensive upgrade to [Alufenster] is due. If you don't let the windows grow with you, it also creates a strange look and feeling of space inside. That is very oppressive.

You are asking for some numbers here, whether ceiling height or screed: that doesn't help at all. The room itself determines the height... if there is nothing special involved (client requests, architecture), then just the usual. Size, proportion, use, and windows play a very big role – more than a wish to have it "higher" than x.

Please?

The general contractor (GU) did not provide any information about the clear room height in their scope of work; I could only derive this from the drawing. Since underfloor heating + controlled residential ventilation (with a suspended ceiling) is desired, the offer we have does not fit, and upon inquiry, the GU also noticed this. It is better to have the information available beforehand and not only at the construction site. Therefore, the question here in the forum.

Possibly do not post so late at night anymore!

Maybe you should read my entire post again to understand what the ceiling height depends on and that it cannot be clarified generally in a forum without further information. By the way, just accept that other people may have different habits or daily rhythms than you. At 12 a.m., my day is not over yet. Apparently, some here don't seem to be on the ball all day either.

Actually: 2.50 m (only 2.495 m above the bedside rug); personal minimum: approx. 2.30 m.


none of that:

... as none of it belongs to the calculation: the clear height means the height between the top edge of the finished floor and the bottom edge of the ceiling plaster.
