Lol, my husband and I were just nerding out about what our house would look like if we supplied the masons with Ecstasy every day. He then said, "we'll call it the Escher house."

Water is always good. Cola or similar drinks only if you can store them cool or better cold. Nobody really likes warm soft drinks, right? Iced tea in variations would be another option. It also tastes better chilled, but you can drink it as is. Provide a coffee machine or just a kettle with instant coffee (sometimes tastes better than coffee that has been sitting for hours on a warming plate) with milk and sugar. This was also well received by our construction crews. Some loved cookies or pastries (pastries!) with it, but I think that's not necessary. Beer was not desired.

We always made sure there were enough drinks - but definitely only non-alcoholic. Any responsible GU or site manager will vehemently reject any alcohol. Over time, you find out what the guys like to drink. Still water was also a hit with us. Also, we had one guy who was happy with Sprite (but only Sprite, no other lemon soda), surprisingly little cola was consumed, and apple spritzer was also quite popular. I occasionally brought a few different soft drinks to offer a bit of variety. Flavored water was also quite popular. Iced tea works too.

I also always made sure there was a basket with sweets. The selection was always changing (I took advantage of special offers) and that always went well and definitely created a good mood. Preferences also develop here.
When the basement was finished and we had electricity, we set up an old fridge and placed a coffee machine (including cups). I regularly collected the cups and ran them through our dishwasher. Although the guys actually washed them themselves - but cold water just doesn’t work that well. They also liked to use the fridge for their snacks. At times we had tropical temperatures at the site.

When we were almost moved in, we already set up our old freezer chest in the new basement and I stored popsicles there in various varieties and made them available to our guys. That was last year in July/August when it was really hot. They were really grateful. Even our Sprite guy, who usually never ate anything the whole day, only drank, helped himself there.

We always have mineral water (medium), cola, and two types of isotonic drinks available. They are very, very popular among the different trades.
Based on the amounts consumed, the two isotonic drinks are the most popular. Cola has practically disappeared since the shell construction phase. Water is also consumed rather little.

FÖRSTINA-ISO-AKTIV Lemon-Grapefruit (alternatively from Rossbacher)
ROSBACHER ISOFIT ORANGE MANDARIN

There is certainly an equivalent available at discount stores as well.

I also had still water, sparkling water, cola and juice, a pod machine and pods, milk and sugar for coffee as well as biscuits, salt- and cheese sticks and cake available for self-service.
