Yes, there are 3 dense trees. They are practically already gone. And yes, the driveway has the right of way. I have to get to my garage.

You mean my current garage? It directly borders my neighbor’s garage

What don’t you understand? To my knowledge, you are allowed to build 15 meters adjacent in NDS. A normal garage with 3x6 uses 9 meters. The rest remains 6 meters. However, some development plans prohibit the access side to the street. Unfortunately, it is not clear where or how your access road runs and is legally regulated. That looks like a private road… and now you come and clarify from where you approach and how it is (private or public).

I don't understand what my garage has to do with building a carport? The access is regulated via an official right of way (it is a private road).

Please upload a site plan showing where and how you can currently access your property.

Is there a development plan? What does it say about CP and garages? How is the boundary to the northeast / neighbor secured? What does the neighbor say about your project? I would first get their approval in writing.

It may be the case with you that a CP is exempt from approval. However, compliance with all planning principles is your responsibility.
