Carport Lighting - Tips / Ideas

Hey,

now that the carport is standing, I am thinking about the best way to implement lighting there. Do you have any tips or even pictures of how you have done it? Motion detectors in the carport and/or light operated by a switch. How many sockets do you have? How big/long should the LED light strips be dimensioned?

so I mounted a BW detector on the left side of a crossbeam. Then I screwed a 2.00 meter wide wet room LED strip under the first front crossbar. As soon as I drive into the carport, the light turns on and goes off after about 40 seconds. I installed the sockets immediately to the right behind the door on the support pillar. A possible wallbox cable is already there as well.

Thanks for showing. Which BMW do you have? Since I have a "pass-through" carport, I was also thinking about permanent lighting, if you sit there, kind of fleeing from the terrace when it rains or something.. I could also install a Hue Outdoor LED strip. Is that a stop bar on the ground?

You are right, it is only 1477 mm long. :) Sorry, I didn’t measure it just now. It is a: SCHUCH 167 15L34G2 LED FR-Wannenleuchte
