Carport costs realistic? How much did your carport cost?

The price comes about because it is wood and can be greened. If the latter is not needed, it definitely gets cheaper. That has nothing to do with a hardware store anymore.

Understood. Our development plan states that flat roofs in the building area must be extensively greened. If this also applies to a carport (I just don’t know yet), then I would be on board with the amount.

Just because it looks nicely green from the bedroom window would not be my motivation to throw money away.

The fun really costs extra. I would estimate at least €5,000 for the stronger material due to statics plus €2,000-3,000 for the greening itself. I am definitely pissed off that the gentlemen missed excluding carports from the regulation. Either you then have really thick beams, or you end up directly with steel or a prefabricated garage (or in-situ concrete).

So we pay a total of €23,000 for our brick garage with storage room (5.00m x 7.5m) including foundations, concrete floor, flat roof, drainage, electrical, windows, door & gate.

30k for a garage or 15k for a carport... Man man man...
It's amazing that there are people who just accept these prices like that.

Well, these are the kinds of things that, in my opinion, you can buy really well, for example, in Poland. They are known to be very skilled craftsmen and their prices are still reasonable.

Sure, if it's a garage including access to the house and the same design as the main house, etc., then understandably it gets more expensive.
But even then, sometimes laying out 50k is quite a treat for the craftsmen.
