So we had an LL heat pump/air conditioning from Daikin installed and then received a letter from BAFA stating that we had to prove eligibility for funding. For this, Daikin has a section on their homepage (this was directly mentioned in the letter), where you enter your data including a picture of the nameplates. After about a week of review, we then received the proof/energy label from Daikin, confirming that our combination meets the limit values.

LL heat pumps should therefore not be completely excluded for the period before 12/31/2022. According to our letter, it was simply the case that some models in the list were not eligible for funding or it was about the exact combination. The feedback from BAFA on the newly submitted confirmation is still pending, although the letter stated that in the case of confirmation, there should actually be no further problems.

Thank you for the feedback. But which date is relevant now? We applied in August 2022. In January 2023 it was confirmed by BaFa. In February 2023 it was installed and now in June 2023 the confirmation was withdrawn. Does the list of eligible devices from August 2022 (application) or a later date apply to the application?

here is the BAFA response: The decisive factor is always the date of the application submission. If the system is listed as eligible at the time of the application submission and meets the minimum requirements, it is also eligible for funding.

but I do not dare to buy a Daikin now. it is also not clear whether the combination of devices I have selected meets the minimum requirements. ultimately, BAFA is the authority and they do not provide feedback on such matters.

So if you know exactly what you want to install, you can contact Daikin and they can then certify the eligibility for funding, if applicable. There were systems on the BAFA list that turned out to be not eligible for funding. The confirmation of funding eligibility must then be requested from Daikin with the specific types; however, you had to upload the type plates via the website, which only works after installation.

If necessary, contact Daikin; as far as I understand the letter I received, Daikin must review and confirm whether the combination meets the requirements for funding eligibility.
